iPad Rehab & Hexordia Present: Forensic Examiner Mobile Device Acquisition. This course is designed to help Mobile Forensic Device Examiners gain confidence in their ability to bring damaged devices back to life for data acquisition. The course begins with hands-on basic troubleshooting, including logic board swap, ports, and batteries. You will learn state-of-the-art micro-soldering techniques to identify and solve short circuits using a thermal camera, DC power supply, and multimeter. If you'd like to use the FORCE_DFU pin to extract data from the toughest cases, this course is for you.
Days 1-3 led by Dr. Jessa Jones, will teach forensic examiners the skills necessary for bringing damaged devices back to life for data acquisition. This portion of the course digs deeper into the foundational skills for precision micro-soldering and logic board repair.
Days 4-5 led by Jessica Hyde of Hexordia, delves into the complexities of mobile device acquisitions, focusing on strategies and techniques for extracting data from devices when conventional forensic software tools fail.
